WHAT TO EXPECT
Cary After Dark is not a history lecture nor is it your typical tour.
It is an immersive evening of storytelling, mystery, and discovery, curated by Dr. Loflin from the archives.
Your ticket includes:
• A curated walk with researched Cary historical accounts from the archives rarely shared publicly, if ever with Cary author and historical researcher, Dr. Katherine Loflin
• Exclusive content as some stories have been recently uncovered
• Visit exterior locations connected to the evening's stories
• Conclude the evening with a signature drink inside a historical Cary location with accounts from that location.

Dr. Katherine Loflin
Known internationally as The City Doctor, Dr. Katherine Loflin is an award-winning author, researcher, speaker, playwright. actress. event producer, and former executive producer for national ABC television. Her work has taken her to keynote on prestigious stages on four continents.
A native of North Carolina and Cary resident, she is the author of Hidden History of Cary, co-author of the upcoming Haunted Cary, and popular Cary history instructor. She has spent years researching Cary history and brings her entertainment and public speaking background to bring these stories to life through her unique story-telling style.

How long is the experience?
Approximately 2 hours.
Is an alcohol drink included?
Yes. One drink from a signature menu is included with every ticket. Additional drinks and food will be available for purchase.
Why Thursday nights?
Thursday nights are a great fit because downtown is usually less crowded than it is on weekends. With fewer people, less traffic, and less background noise, guests can more easily move through downtown and hear Dr. Loflin's stories along the way. It also helps our drink stop accommodate the group more comfortably while supporting a local business on a typically slower night. Having said that, we may add other weekday nights if our drink partners prefer.
How much walking is involved?
The walking portion is approximately 90 minutes and covers a comfortable 1 mile route through downtown Cary.
Are tickets refundable?
No. Tickets may be transferred.
